Our New Jersey-based energy sector practice specializes in multimedia licensing, design, and compliance services for infrastructure development projects, including transmission and distribution facilities, offshore wind projects, battery energy storage systems, solar and fuel cell projects, conventional power plants, nuclear plants, and natural gas pipelines. AKRF is hiring a Licensing and Permitting Project Manager to continue investing in the growth and success of our energy practice.

 

We are seeking a professional with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience (energy sector preferred) to join our team of environmental scientists, engineers, planners, and ecologists in Mount Laurel, NJ.

 

The successful candidate must have proven experience in the following areas:

 

  • Directly applicable experience in environmental consulting and a BS/MS in environmental resources, environmental planning, natural resources, and/or a related field
  • Direct experience with NJDEP and NYSDEC environmental permitting programs, USACOE permitting requirements, and various state utility siting programs
  • Excel in writing permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact assessments
  • Ability to manage teams of scientists performing field surveys and data collection and coordinating the work of other project team members
  • Management of multiple projects of varying size and complexity for both independent power producers (IPPs) and public utility clients
  • Business development, relationship management, and client interaction, including the ability to lead meetings and presentations
  • Fostering and maintaining excellent working relationships with government agency personnel and the public
  • Responsible for project-related administrative tasks, including subcontract preparation, invoice review, and management of A/R


Knowledge of stormwater management rules and regulations and experience in preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans is a plus.

This position will entail occasional field work, with the potential for overnight travel ranging from several days to a week. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is also a requirement of the position.


Compensation will range from $110,000-$125,000.
