AKRF, Inc, a leading firm of environmental planners, engineers, and scientists, is seeking a Senior Remediation Engineer with 10+ years of experience to support our site assessment and remediation practice in the New York City area. Candidates must have experience with site remediation design (SVE, air sparging, SSDS, multi-phase extraction, in-situ chemical oxidation/bioremediation, etc.), preferably for sites in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.


Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering.
  • P.E. license is preferred, but not required.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.
  • Must be proficient in CAD. Experience in Revit is a plus.
  • Experience (10-25 years) in environmental remediation system design.
  • Experience preparing remedial alternative analyses/feasibility studies.
  • Experience preparing bid/construction documents and leading remedial procurement process with equipment vendors and contractors.
  • Experience performing construction inspections and system start-up, and implementing system operation and maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) plans.
  • Must have strong writing and communication skills and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of New York City building/mechanical/plumbing code and NYSDEC/NYCOER/NYCDEP regulations is a plus.


This position can be staffed out of our NYC, White Plains, Philadelphia, or NJ (Princeton or Mt. Laurel) offices.  Hybrid work is an option for our office staff. 


Compensation will range from $100,000-$150,000.
